We have Norway’s best expertise in work and service boats for the aquaculture industry
Great innovation, a healthy and good work environment.
This is how Sindre Mathisen summarizes the working life of Moen Marin. Since his studies he has had good knowledge of the boat manufacturer on the Namdal coast, and when the opportunity offered for a position at the Trondheim office, he had to strike.
– I am the one who keeps the dialog with the various actors involved, such as shipyards, subcontractors, design and customer, and makes sure that the boat is finished in the end.
Sindre Mathisen
The 36-year-old from Vadsø holds a master’s degree in marine engineering from NTNU, specializing in fisheries and marine resources. Mathisen has worked in the oil industry for several years, but his main interest has always been on technology and innovation for the fisheries and aquaculture industry.
As project manager he is responsible for coordinating progress in newbuilding – From drawing boards to delivery ready boats.
– I am the one who keeps the dialog with the various actors involved, such as shipyards, subcontractors, design and customer, and makes sure that the boat is finished to scheduled time.
The project manager must make many decisions on different topics such as which materials, technical solutions and interior solutions they should go for. Everything is thought through to every last detail and decisions must often be made quickly. Fortunately, you have lots of people to play with, both inside and outside Moen Marin, Mathisen says.
– Moen Marin is an exciting and fun place to work. We have Norway’s, perhaps the world’s, best expertise in the work and service boats segment for the aquaculture industry. There is always room for input on new ways of doing things, how to do something more efficient, smarter or more sustainable.
